Donor-Advised Funds (DAF)

You can recommend a one-time or recurring donation to Rainforest Foundation US through your DAF. Talk to your investment manager or designate a DAF with this easy online tool.

Stocks

You can benefit from a combined tax savings of up to 70% of your gift when you donate appreciated stocks or mutual funds. Our online stock donation tool lets us know that the stock transfer is from you because that information is not included with the transfer.
If you prefer to have your broker process the gift, please email us at [email protected] to let us know it’s on the way.

Crypto

We accept cryptocurrency. When you donate appreciated cryptocurrency directly to us, you don’t owe capital gains tax on those earnings – and neither do we.

IRA Charitable Distributions

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from your individual retirement account (IRA), also known as IRA Charitable Distributions, are the savviest way for individuals age 70½ or older to maximize their charitable impact and offset taxes.

Legacy Giving

We have partnered with Freewill, a free online tool that lets you create a will in just 20 minutes. By including Rainforest Foundation US in your will, you are helping ensure that rainforests continue standing for generations to come. If you already named RFUS in your estate plan, you can report your gift here.

Beneficiaries Designation

If you have an IRA, 401(k), life insurance policy, or any other assets not included in your will, you must plan your beneficiaries for them separately. Use this online tool to make your plans and designate us as a beneficiary of one or more of these assets.

Workplace Giving

Look for us in your company’s workplace giving campaign. If your company doesn’t have one or if we are not listed as an option, please reach out to [email protected] so we can provide information on how to start one. If you are a federal or military employee or retiree, you can support us through the Combined Federal Campaign.

Employer Matching

Double your donation! Use our handy tool to see if your employer will match your donation to RFUS, whether you donated to us directly or through your workplace giving program.
