What If We Acted for Our Planet Before It’s Too Late?
This Earth Day, Triple Your Impact to Support Rainforests’ Best Defenders
What if we built a more sustainable future for all? What if we stopped deforestation and rainforests flourished?
We believe it’s possible. This Earth Day, we’re exploring the world we can create together—a safer, more just and sustainable future, where rainforests thrive.
A generous donor is matching all gifts up to $40,000. Act now to TRIPLE your impact on Indigenous-led rainforest protection. For every $1 you give, RFUS will receive $3.
Supporting Indigenous peoples to protect their rainforests is crucial. Rainforests managed by Indigenous peoples store more carbon, foster more biodiversity, and experience less deforestation than rainforests under other models of protection—even national parks.
Here are just a few examples of what we accomplished together in 2024:
We supported 307 Indigenous forest monitors from 129 communities across Peru, Brazil, Guyana, and Panama to safeguard nearly 20 million acres of rainforest.
We helped advance land rights across 3.8 million acres in Guyana and Panama by taking action like supporting Indigenous communities to secure legal ownership of their lands and mapping their territorial boundaries.
We helped establish the Mesoamerican Territorial Fund, which invested over $800,000 in 20 regional initiatives, benefiting 40,000 people across Mexico and Central America.
