Why Donate?

All contributions made on this page will directly support RFUS’s Rainforest Alert program. Your donation secures the training and technology – including smartphones, USB drives, and drones – that supports indigenous communities to better protect their lands from illegal deforestation.

It costs $6 to protect 1 hectare (2.47 acres) of rainforest with the Rainforest Alert program. See the difference your donation can make through Rainforest Alert:

  • $25 can help protect 10 acres of rainforest
  • $50 can help protect 20 acres of rainforest
  • $100 can help protect 40 acres of rainforest
  • $250 can help protect 100 acres of rainforest

Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law and are processed in US dollars. Rainforest Foundation is a US nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization (tax identification number 95-1622945) under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

He brings over 10 years of professional writing experience to the organization, having contributed to several outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Budapest Times, and A&E, amongst others. He’s also a published fiction writer and playwright. Adam holds a Master’s in Creative Writing from Rutgers University-Camden. He is bilingual in Hungarian and fluent in Spanish, which he learned while traveling the Pan-American Highway in his early twenties. That’s also when he came to know the rich indigenous cultures of the continent and the stunning forests that house them, ultimately guiding him to this work.
